Overview:

The ZBM5 is a Zigbee protocol mechanical smart wall switch, offering flexible wiring options for single-live or neutral-wire connections based on your home’s wiring. It is available in 1/2/3-gang versions and supports app remote control, detach relay mode, timers, and smart scenes, making it a reliable assistant for any smart home. ZBM5 can be configured based on your home wiring setup, supporting two modes:
• No Neutral Required Mode – In this mode, ZBM5 operates as a Zigbee end device. The external load must meet a minimum power requirement of 3W. It does not support smart lights, including but not limited to dimmable, color-changing, gradient lighting, and lights with built-in controllers or LED strips.
• Neutral Required Mode – In this mode, ZBM5 operates as a Zigbee router, improving network stability and coverage. It supports smart lights and the detach relay function in the eWeLink app. With detach relay enabled, smart lights won’t lose power when the wall switch is turned off, allowing them to remain functional at all times. Supports connecting smart lights only in the neutral required mode. ZBM5 is compatible with Home Assistant using the Sonoff ZBDONGLE via ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT integration, creating a seamless smart home solution that works with devices from multiple manufacturers.

• Detach Relay Mode - With the detach relay enabled, smart lights won’t lose power when the wall switch is turned off, allowing them to remain smart at all times. Supports connecting smart lights only in the neutral required mode.
