IOT:bit Expansion Board
IOT:bit is an expansion board based on micro:bit for IoT.
It can support Internet of Things sensors with 3-pins, as well as actuator and buzzer functionality. Additionally, it can provide precise timekeeping even when the micro:bit is powered off, thanks to the onboard RTC.
The board utilizes ESP8266 as a Wi-Fi expansion module and communicates with the micro:bit through the serial port. It also extends all available IO ports of the micro:bit, led by GVS, allowing for the connection of various 3V E-blocks such as LEDs, photosensitive sensors, and servos. Furthermore, IOT:bit is equipped with an onboard buzzer for producing external sound and an onboard RTC clock for accurate timing, even without a power supply.
The codebase for MakeCode allows convenient connection to Thingspeak, enabling you to quickly create your own IoT projects.
