The Arduino UNO R3 CH340 has been modified to bypass the standard FTDI drivers to use the CH340 USB Serial chipset.
Note: The Uno R3 CH340 development board is not manufactured or supplied by Arduino (it is manufactured to the same specifications as the Arduino board). The board uses a CH340 USB chipset.

The Arduino UNO R3 CH340 has been modified to bypass the standard FTDI drivers to use the CH340 USB Serial chipset.
The board includes solder pads from pins PB4 through PB7 to the USB header, ICSP header pins, and a 10-pin connector for the I2C, AD4/SDA and AD5/SCL. These updates have made the Arduino UNO R3 much easier and simpler to use.
