Installation
To install the GD-W5 WiFi Smart Garage Door Controller, you will need to follow a simple three-step wiring process. The device acts as a "Dry Contact" relay, meaning it mimics a physical button press to trigger your motor.
Step 1: Power the Device
Step 2: Connect to the Motor Terminals

Locate the terminals on your garage door or gate motor where your existing wall button or manual switch is connected.

Connect the provided Red & Black signal wires from the GD-W5 to these same two terminals.

Pro Tip: You do not need to remove the existing wires. Simply twist the new wires together with the old ones and reinsert them into the terminals.
Step 3: Install the Status Sensor

Mount the wired magnetic sensor on the fixed part of your door frame (wall).

Mount the magnet on the moving part of the garage door.

Alignment: Ensure that when the door is closed, the gap between the sensor and magnet is between 3mm and 15mm.
